Bodywarmer for O
Another incarnation of Kwik Sew 2547.
Pattern Description:
Toddler's pull-over jackets, vest and pants.
Pattern Sizing:
T1 - T4
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes - I made T3 which fits perfectly
Were the instructions easy to follow?
No longer need to use them as I have used this pattern so often. I do remember they were easy to use though!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Easy to adapt. Simple design
Fabric Used:
Tracksuit jersey for outer, fusible volume fleece and cotton jersey for lining
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Made the pattern into a padded and lined bodywarmer (vest) - rather than a single layer
I ironed the fusible volume fleece to the lining fabric and then cut out the pieces
Sew the lining together
Sew the shell together
Insert zip on shell
Join the shell and the lining along the zip
Sew all across bottom and the collar
Turn out through the armholes
Sew armholes together
Add binding to armholes
-ALSO I made two collar pieces (I do not fold the piece so the collar of the bodywarmer is much larger than designed - we prefer the warmth around the neck!)
