McCalls M5538 Fleece Top (Jumper)
Misses and Men's Tops and Unlimed Jackets
Pattern Sizing:
XM - Small Medium Large XN ( X, XX and XXX Large)
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Reasonable apart from I wish that pattern companies who put in "got straight to No 20 if doing top "A" " as the next 10 instructions are not for A... (for example)
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Simple construction with some interesting design details (2 part sleeve etc)
Fabric Used:
Polar fleece
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
The pattern comes up VERY BIG... so I ended up making a small rather the large I started with. The small fits well everywhere except length - the body needs to be longer. I also used volume fleece instead of interfacing in the collar to ensure that the collar stood up well - and was warm.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes - this is my 3rd try at the pattern ..
Conclusion:
Love this pattern and will make it again.. but they need to make an extra petite size as although the pattern claims to be for Misses it would huge on me!
